Vimeo Festival!

Oct 8th & 9th was the very first Vimeo Festival + Awards.
Our movie, “Something Left, Something Taken” was one of the finalists in the animation category.
Picture on the right is Kirsten Lepore who was another finalist in the animation category.
Her film “Bottle” is so charming and beautiful. It simply makes me smile when I watch this animated film.

Screenings were at SVA theater. It was very exciting to see our still in the digital poster.

This was the award show. I had never seen anything like this that I was so glad to be part of it.
You can check out all the winners HERE.
Congratulations to winners and all the participants!

We made this “portrait video” to be part of the award show.

Thank you Issac King for making this for us!
He is SO FUN to work with.

My personal favorite was “Apricot” by Ben Briand
I can’t stop thinking about this film. It had everything that I love in a film. Mystery, love, beauty, memory, emotions and joy. This film inspired us more than anything at the festival. If I can even get close to capturing this type of emotion in my film, I’d feel like I have accomplished my goal as a film maker. Absolutely beautiful film, this 10 min film will brighten your day for sure.
